The Kanrocksas 2013 Music Festival has been canceled. The two-day affair, which was to have featured the likes of Passion Pit, the Avett Brothers, Tiesto and fun., was scheduled to run from June 28-29 at the Kansas City Speedway — but it didn’t draw enough ticket sales to carry on.

“Due to insufficient ticket sales, Midwest Music Festivals and Kansas Speedway have decided to cancel the 2013 Kanrocksas Music Festival scheduled for June 28th and 29th. There are no plans to reschedule the event at this time,” reads a post on the fest’s official website. “The Kanrocksas authorized ticketing agent, ground(ctrl), will process all ticket refunds including service fees electronically. Customers will receive an email Tuesday, May 28th informing them of the cancellation and when they can expect their refund.”

The lineup, announced back in March, boasted dozens of artists across the electronic, rock and hip-hop genres. In addition to those already mentioned, the following acts were set to perform at this year’s go-round: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grimes, She & Him, Empire of the Sun, Kendrick Lamar, Pretty Lights, the Dropkick Murphys, Camera Obscura, Delta Rae, Machine Gun Kelly, Son Volt and T-Pain.

Festival organizers have offered “sincere thanks from our entire event staff to those who supported the festival in 2011 and with advance tickets this year.”
