Kanye West Rings in the New Year With Nike Diss Track ‘Facts’
It’s hard to believe (or all too easy), but it’s already been a whole year since Kanye West dropped “Only One,” his first new track since 2013’s Yeezus. We’ve been anxiously waiting for the elusive Swish ever since New Year’s 2015, and while West has stayed mum when it comes to specific album details, he celebrated “Only One”’s one-year anniversary by adding another standalone single to the pile.
West rang in 2016 by unleashing a brand-new track dubbed “Facts.” As the title suggests, West uses the song’s three-minute run to rattle off the facts -- aka brag quite a bit. (“I feel so accomplished,” he boasts out the gate.) “Facts” largely serves as a Nike diss track, but West also takes digs at Drake, Bill Cosby and anyone who’s created an app but isn’t his wife Kim Kardashian. He also reaffirms Swish's M.I.A. status and his bid for the 2020 presidency. Take a listen to the Metro Boomin and Southside-produced track at the top of the page.
