The nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2013 have been announced, and Kraftwerk are among the 15 artists eligible for induction into the Cleveland institution next year. The top vote-getters will be inducted into the Rock Hall during a ceremony that will be held on April 18 at the Nokia Theater L.A. in Los Angeles and air on HBO at a later date.

Kraftwerk are among the first-time nominees for 2013, and if voted in, they'll be the first totally electronic band enshrined in the Hall. Other acts up for Rock Hall honors next year include Public Enemy, N.W.A., Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Heart and Chic. Check out the complete list of nominees here.

“The definition of ‘rock and roll’ means different things to different people, but as broad as the classifications may be, they all share a common love of the music,” says Joel Peresman, president and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “This year we again proudly put forth a fantastic array of groups and artists that span the entire genre that is ‘rock and roll’.”
