Wild Nothing will return with their third full-length Life of Pause next month, and today (Jan. 5), bandleader Jack Tatum has shared album opener “Reichpop.” Take a listen below and then check out the single artwork (an extension of the album cover) at the bottom of the page.

“[It] was amazing to watch this song materialize in Stockholm with the help of John Eriksson and Pelle Jacobsson (Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra),” Tatum wrote on Facebook of the new song. “They took my manic marimba vision and made it a reality. It’s the first song from Life of Pause and one of my favorites from the record.”

Life of Pause is due out Feb. 19 via Captured Tracks/Bella Union. Tatum has already unveiled “To Know You” and “TV Queen.” Tatum says he wanted to reinvent himself and his music on his latest outing:

I desperately wanted for this to be the kind of record that would displace me... I know that my only hope of getting there is to constantly reinvent. That reinvention doesn’t need to be drastic, but every new record has to have it’s [sic] own identity, and it has to have a separate set of goals from what came before.

The dream-pop outfit’s latest album follows 2012’s Nocturne.
