The internet is a great thing, huh? Yesterday, we watched a dog dressed as a teddy bear walk on a treadmill, and today, we stumbled onto a video of Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull singing the theme song to ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ with Kevin Devine. Check it out above.

Hull introduces the performance as “a new track coming out we’ve been working on for a minute.” Devine adds, “Yeah, this one’s definitely been germinating in the lab.”

The performance is beautiful -- and believe us, we never thought we’d say that about the theme song for ‘Fresh Prince.’ Compare their version with the original:

For the uninitiated, this isn’t the first time Devine has “collaborated” with Manchester Orchestra. In 2010, they partnered for the split EP, ‘I Could Be the Only One,’ featuring Manchester Orchestra’s ‘I Could Be With Anyone’ b/w Devine’s ‘The Only One.’ Devine also toured with them as support in 2006 and 2007.

Devine has one show left for 2014, at New York City’s Webster Hall on Dec. 21 (get his tour itinerary here), and Manchester Orchestra are on the road through mid-December.
