MGMT hit the stage of Montreal’s Osheaga festival last Friday, and in addition to the catchy nuggets of psych synth they normally turn out, the New York duo also tried its hands at a Rolling Stones classic, covering the acoustic ballad 'Angie.'

'Goats Head Soup'-era Stones isn't the easiest to pull off, and the slow, plodding 'Angie' off the 1973 album is especially challenging. But MGMT do a fine job, adding another gem to their ever-growing arsenal of covers that already includes Pink Floyd, New Order, Bauhaus and Fleetwood Mac.
