Watch Mini Mansions’ ‘Vertigo’ Video Feat. Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner
Mini Mansions are dropping their sophomore album, The Great Pretenders, this week, and to celebrate, they’ve premiered a video for its fourth single, “Vertigo.” Watch the NSFW clip above.
The song features a guest spot from Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, who also appears in the brand-new clip -- alongside a host of scantily clad women who the band managed to enlist for the video just before they were scheduled to start filming.
“The night before the shoot we played this strange private party for Saint Laurent with Bleached and Sky Ferreira, where we each played 15-minute sets,” Mini Mansions frontman and Queens of the Stone Age bassist Michael Shuman said of the video. “So there was plenty of time for debauchery afterward. Us and Alex managed to stumble onto set for the shoot at 9AM with a half dozen naked ladies waiting to partake in the shoot. I’d say it was pretty ideal setup for the making of this video.”
The Great Pretenders follows the L.A.-based indie-pop outfit’s 2010 self-titled debut. Prior to the "Vertigo" video, Mini Mansions debuted clips for “Death Is a Girl,” “Any Emotions” and “Freakout!”
In order to focus his efforts on Mini Mansions, Shuman recently revealed that Queens of the Stone Age are “taking a break” so they can each dedicate their time to their other projects.
