Tegan and Sara are gearing up to host the 2013 mtvU Woodie Awards with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. The ninth annual awards show will air on March 17 at 8PM EST on MTV and mtvU.

The Canadian twins – who are up for the Tag Team Woodie for their song ‘Body Work,’ which they recorded with DJ Morgan Page – shared their excitement about the upcoming event in a recent statement. "This will be our first time at the mtvU Woodie Awards, so we couldn't be more excited to be making our debut as co-hosts and nominees for the Tag Team Woodie," they said. "It's a good thing they got Machine Gun Kelly to step in as our tri-host, because no one else would be able to get a word in edgewise."

The awards, which will feature an open-air Woodie Awards Festival, are set to take place on March 14 in Austin during SXSW, with performances by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Alt-J, Jake Bugg and many more. Festival-goers without SXSW badges are required to have a special “Woodies” ticket for entry.

“I think the first thing we all are thinking is, 'Wow, I can't believe MTV trusted MGK to actually co-host something like this,' and then the second thought is, 'F--- yeah MTV for trusting MGK to co-host something like this!'" said Machine Gun Kelly, who won the Breaking Woodie last year. "The only thing I've ever hosted was parties so it looks like this year will have to be a party!”
