New Order debuted a new song, 'Plastic,' at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom last night among a set of old fan favorites. You can hear it in the video above. It's the band's second new track, after 'Singularity,' to come out since it reunited back in 2011. But there's still no definite word on whether we can expect a new album anytime soon.

Consequence of Sound reports that frontman Bernard Sumner said at the show, "We have to write some new songs to keep this a viable band." So that sounds promising. The band's last release was a 2013 set of B-sides called 'Lost Sirens.'

In the meantime, New Order continue to tour, despite potential legal battles with former member Peter Hook, who was in the news recently to announce that he'd be taking his former bandmates to court over their use of the name New Order without compensating him properly.

Hook also accused his replacement, bassist Tom Chapman, of miming his bass parts along to old recordings of Hook playing.
