Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready + Paul McCartney Are Recording With Lady Gaga
Earlier this week we learned that Pearl Jam's Mike McCready had entered the studio with Paul McCartney and Lady Gaga -- check out Lady Gaga sharing the news via Instagram below. The post reads, "Had a beautiful session with Sir Paul McCartney and friends. Working on one of his many secret projects! Killer musicians, vibe, and lots of laughs."
McCready and Gaga later took to Twitter to praise each other, the rocker stating it “was an honor to work with” Lady Gaga, describing her voice as “truly amazing” -- Gaga replied “it was so awesome working with you today! I meant what I said about Pearl Jam being life changing!”
Both McCready and McCartney have been expanding their musical ventures lately, McCartney recording with both Kanye West and Rihanna, and McCready playing with the Seattle Symphony and helping them execute some Pearl Jam and Nirvana songs for their 'Sonic Evolution' series.
Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder will perform tonight (Feb. 6) at the 2015 MusiCares Person of the Year concert in L.A. to honor its recipient Bob Dylan. He will be joined by both Jack White and Beck. The Black Keys are also scheduled to perform, but in what capacity we're not sure, since drummer Patrick Carney is still recovering from a shoulder injury which forced the band to cancel a bunch of European tour dates.
