Public Image Ltd announced back in May that they have a new album and tour on the way, and today (July 6), the group shared a new song from the album, called "Double Trouble." Give it a listen below.

Frontman John Lydon explained the origins of the song, saying it "arose from an argument with his wife about plumbing but came to concern relationships." The song will be released officially on Aug. 21 as a 7" single along with another album track, "Bettie Page."

Commenting on What The World Needs Now..., the band's upcoming tenth album and second since 1992, Lydon said simply, "Buy now while stocks last." The album, which was recorded at Steve Winwood‘s Wincraft studio, will be released on Sept. 4 via the band’s own PiL Official label.

Public Image Ltd have also announced a string of European tour dates. American dates are also in the works but not yet announced. Check out their itinerary at their website.
