This year marks the 40th anniversary of the start of the recording career of Roxy Music, the critically acclaimed British art-rock outfit that influenced and inspired a countless number of bands over the course of its decade-plus long career. To celebrate this milestone comes Roxy Music's 'The Complete Studio Recordings' box set, which includes all eight of the band's studio albums -- from its self-titled 1972 release through to the platinum-certified 1982 disc 'Avalon,' its commercial apex. Also included are two bonus discs featuring singles, B-sides and alternative mixes of classic Roxy cuts, including several that are previously unreleased on CD.

'The Complete Studio Recordings' marks the first time all of the band's full-length albums have been compiled in one complete box set, and for the audiophiles out there, each disc has been digitally remastered from its original analogue master tape -- not the 1999 remasters -- which results in a sound truer to the original LP. Each disc comes with the same track listing as it appeared on the original album and the iconic original cover artwork, known for featuring female models. 'The Complete Studio Recordings' box set hits stores Aug. on 28.
