What can you say about Jack White that hasn't been said already -- the man is unpredictable.

Following a year in which he absolutely riveted audiences with shows upwards of two and half hours, mining classics new and old, and throwing in a cover here and there, White is set to headline the concert hall mecca that is New York City's Madison Square Garden later this month for the first time in his illustrious career.

What had been noticeably absent from the bill for some time was an opening act for the show. Obviously his notoriously long set times don't necessarily require an opener, but now we have one.

The Kills? Nope. Any associated member of the Raconteurs? Nah. We think you can see where this is going.

Jack White has tapped none other than Killer Mike and El-P, better known as Run the Jewels -- who released the excellent rap opus 'Run the Jewels 2' last year -- to open the Garden affair, which makes the tag "eclectic" an understatement.

We already knew this show was going to be the stuff of legend. White's Bonnaroo headlining set in 2014 was incredible, so much so that it has already been captured in a Third Man Records box set.

If you have't yet, it's time you start thinking about snagging your tickets for the Jan. 30, once-in-a-lifetime performance at the Garden. What are you waiting for?
