In the mid-‘70s, along the shores of Lake Michigan in the small town of Zion, Ill., brothers John and Jeff Murphy and Gary Klebe joined forces to create the iconic power-pop outfit, Shoes.

Over the past four decades, Shoes have amassed a massive, fabled catalog of rock tunes and for this year’s edition of Record Store Day, they’ve collected some of their favorites -- along with previously unreleased demos and a 2013 live version of "I Don't Wanna Hear It" -- for the very special Primal Vinyl.

Today (April 13), Diffuser is thrilled to debut a track from the LP, the demo of “Girls of Today” -- stream it in the audio player below:

Released via Alive Naturalsound, Primal Vinyl is a limited edition, vinyl-only album that will hit a select number of shops on Record Store Day this weekend (April 18). The exclusive RSD disc is limited to just 800 copies on starburst vinyl (check out the tracklist below).

You can stay up to date with everything happening in Shoes' world here; for more information on Primal Vinyl, head over to Alive Naturalsound's official website.
