Nashville has long been considered the country music mecca for housing landmarks such as Music Row, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry, and recently Music City has gained prominence as a hotbed for indie rock thanks to such artists as Jack White and the Black Keys, who have both relocated there in the last few years. Is it time to add electronic music to the list? Nashville may soon also be a haven for the glow stick set, if a certain electronica superstar has anything to say about it.

Skrillex has announced plans to team up with fellow EDM artist Pretty Lights to mount the first-ever With Your Friends Festival, a two-day gathering set for Oct. 26 and 27 at a prime location on the banks of the Cumberland River in downtown Nashville.

Each artist will co-headline the fest, topping an eclectic bill that will feature rapper Nas, hip-hopper Santigold and EDM artists-producers 12th Planet, Dillon Francis, Michal Menert and TOKiMONSTA. Nas will be making a special appearance backed by a live nine-piece band.

And expect the party to rage on well into the night, as several private events following the main festival will "ensure [a] post-festival," taking place "both at an undisclosed terrestrial location and on a river boat."
