Cloud Nothings have hinted at dropping a new record this year, and last night at SXSW 2013, while performing at the Mohawk, they debuted a brand-new tune. According to Consequence of Sound’s Michael Roffman, who attended the gig, “Cloud Nothings’ new material sounds like Dylan’s [Baldi] been on a Sonic Youth/MBV/Hum kick. Maybe a lil Oberst too.” Watch the clip above and see if you agree with his assessment.

The band's forthcoming album follows ‘Attack on Memory,’ which was released in January 2012 via Carpark Records. Click here to watch the video for ‘Fall In,’ a catchy single from the disc.
