Dirty Projectors to DJ Townsquare Media’s SXSW Interactive 2013 Party

Even by Brooklyn indie standards, bands don't get much cooler than Dirty Projectors, and come Monday, March 11, Townsquare Media will enlist members Dave Longstreth and Amber Coffman to spin records as part of a happy hour party at SXSWi 2013 in Austin. The soiree (poster below) goes down at Moonshine and runs 7:30 to 11PM -- plenty of time to scarf free food, swill free booze and soak in the killers sounds blasting from the sound system. Interactive badges are required for entry.

The Projectors head to Austin following a triumphant 2012. The sextet earned raves -- including one on this very site -- for the album 'Swing Lo Magellan' and EP 'About to Die,' and Longstreth made the leap into film with the short 'Hi Custodian.' The group has played on just about every major late night talk show there is, and in the coming months, they'll perform at a number of outdoor festivals, among them Governors Ball in New York City.
