Later this month, the Besnard Lakes will return with A Coliseum Complex Museum, but ahead of that day, the Montreal-based indie-rockers have shared a music video for “The Plain Moon.” Check it out above.

The Joe Yarmush-directed clip is just as dreamy as the song it contains, delivering footage of the band performing through psychedelic filters and layers for a kaleidoscope effect. “We probably love the supernatural as much as the natural,” the Besnard Lakes’ Olga Goreas told Noisey of the video, “and we’ve always been fascinated with more esoteric elements, especially with regards to capturing them visually.”

A Coliseum Complex Museum is due out Jan. 22 via Jagjaguwar. It follows the band’s 2013 full-length Until in Excess, Imperceptible UFO and November’s The Golden Lion EP. The latter’s title track will also appear on Coliseum (listen here). You can pre-order the forthcoming album on CD and vinyl at the Jagjaguwar website. Take a look at the cover art and track list at the bottom of the page.

The day after the album’s arrival, the band will launch a tour in Brooklyn. Then, they’ll play Toronto on Feb. 18, Montreal on Feb. 19 and Quebec City on March 3. See a complete itinerary below.
