Indie duo the Helio Sequence have just announced a string of U.S. tour dates in anticipation of their upcoming, self-titled sixth album, due out on Sub Pop May 18. The tour begins on June 3 in Boise, Idaho, and currently ends June 27 in St. Paul, Minnesota, with two preceding dates in April and May. The band promises more dates will be announced soon.

The track "Stoic Resemblance," which was debuted earlier this month on Sub Pop's official YouTube channel, exemplifies the Helio Sequence's affinity for making pop music that's dreamy and full but nevertheless economical and tightly executed. Watch an animated clip accompanying the song here:

And to get a sense of what you're in for if you see the Portland, Ore.-based duo in person, guitarist-singer Brandon Summers and drummer-keyboardist Benjamin Weikel manage to convey the shimmery vibe of their songs even in their stripped-down live versions:
