The White Stripes made an appearance on Tuesday’s (May 5) episode of the dancing competition series, Dancing With the Stars -- well, kind of.

Before the show’s judges made their routine contestant eliminations, the modern dance company, Shaping Sound -- who were introduced by host Tom Bergeron as a “dynamic contemporary dance company who mash up dance styles and music genres with electrifying choreography” -- took the stage for a performance set to the White Stripes’ Elephant classic, “Seven Nation Army.”

The dance troupe was joined by Dancing With the Stars’ own Allison Holker, Jenna Johnson and Travis Wall for an intense and captivating routine fitting of the marching force of Jack and Meg White’s 2003 anthem. Check out the performance in the video above.

While the White Stripes have been no more since their 2011 breakup, White is also taking some time from his solo work. He recently concluded his extensive tour in support of his most recent solo album, last year’s Lazaretto, with an acoustic show in Fargo, N.D., at the end of April. White said the tour's final dates would be his last live performances for "a long period of time." The concert was streamed in its entirety on Jay Z’s music-streaming platform, Tidal, for which White is a part owner.
