Toro Y Moi, ‘So Many Details’ [Listen]

Chaz Bundick says Toro Y Moi’s forthcoming third album, 'Anything In Return,' is his attempt “to make sincere pop music that’s not all processed and bubblegum,” and the first track from the disc to surface, 'So Many Details,' certainly lives up to that statement. With an infectious pop melody over a bed of looped synths, drum-machine beats and lo-fi funk, 'Details' is catchy number, certainly sincere in orientation and not for a second in danger of being mistaken for over-processed, trite bubblegum.

'Anything In Return' arrives Jan. 22, while the 'Anything In Return' single B-side -- a remix made by Bundick featuring Odd Future’s Hodgy Beats -- will be released as its own single in honor of Black Friday Record Store Day on Nov. 23.
