10 Ugly Band Breakups

Rock bands can break up for a million different reasons -- nobody cares about them, they aren't any good, it's just time to move on -- but it takes a special breed of bona fide rock stars to call it a day in the face of fame and fortune. The following groups all achieved varying levels of notoriety or commercial success while together, yet despite the seemingly privileged lifestyle each lived, still somehow managed to either blow up in a fiery public display or disintegrate in relative obscurity. No matter how each demise happened, it wasn't pretty. Many of these bands' members eventually buried the hatchet in time for the lucrative reunion tour circuit, but some breakups are so ugly that a comeback -- or even a few kind words -- just ain't in the cards.
