Last night (April 24), Beirut stopped by ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to perform ‘Santa Fe,' the second track off their latest album, ‘The Rip Tide.’ This isn’t the first time the band played the track on late-night television -- it was first performed last October on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.’

The song's second late-night appearance did not disappoint. Frontman Zach Condo led the six-piece band through a very heartfelt performance, highlighted by his haunting vocals, dueling trumpet solos and the addition of the accordion, an instrument not used in the recorded version of the track.

'The Rip Tide,' which was released last August, has been a huge success for the New Mexico-born, New York-based folk outfit. It peaked at No. 80 on the Billboard 200 tally and has been receiving generally positive reviews.

Beirut are scheduled to perform May 5 at New York City's Crossing Brooklyn Ferry festival and May 25 at the Sasquatch festival in the Gorge, Wash., before heading overseas for a slew of summer festival dates in Europe and more festival and headlining gigs back in the States.
