Yesterday (Sept. 13) marked the first night of the New York City-based Neil Young tribute concert, Neil Fest, and it brought together Ryan Adams, Noarah Jones, Jakob Dylan, Kim Gordon and Bill Nace's Body/Head, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner and more to celebrate Young's more than 50-year career with covers of some of his classic songs.

Adams was accompanied by Jones for his rendition of Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’s “Cinnamon Girl.” Then, the two artists performed a moving duet of “Old Man.” Later, Dylan delivered his take on After the Gold Rush’s “Southern Man,” while many of the Neil Fest acts returned to the stage for a star-studded, show-closing performance of “Helpless.” You can see fan-shot clips of all four songs below:

Neil Fest -- which is part of the Best Fest’s tribute concert series -- will take over the Bowery Ballroom again tonight. It’s sponsored by the Jameson Neighborhood Fund, and proceeds go to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, a nonprofit offering financial aid to working musicians.
