Last month, we learned that an Arcade Fire documentary dubbed, The Reflektor Tapes, was due out in September. Now, the official trailer has arrived -- check it out in the video above (via the Guardian). The feature-length documentary -- which is named after the band’s 2013 double album, Reflektor -- was directed by Kahlil Joseph, who’s also worked with Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus and FKA Twigs. It’s will play in theaters as soon as Sept. 23.

“There were parts of the Reflektor tour where I think we, Arcade Fire, came the closest in our careers to putting on stage what we imagined in our heads,” the band told the Guardian. “We were insanely lucky to have Khalil Joseph documenting from the very beginning.” The Reflektor Tapes was previously described as a “crossroads of documentary, music, art and personal history.” It will include personal footage and interviews chronicling the making of Reflektor in Jamaica and Montreal. Likewise, it will dive into Arcade Fire’s tour in support of the album, including a show in Haiti during carnival. The film will also boast previously unseen footage and a new song from the band.
