Katie Crutchfield -- founding member and frontwoman of indie-folk act Waxahatchee -- has announced a string of intimate solo tour dates for the fall, kicking off at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco on Oct. 3.

In a recent press release, Crutchfield tells fans, "I'm planning on playing songs from both my albums as well as songs from a new album I just finished recording. I'll also be playing solo, which I'm really excited about."

As for the tour stops, fans can expect an informal yet personal experience created by Crutchfield. "We chose most of the venues specifically because they're more conducive to a more intimate type of performance," she explains. "When I first started playing these songs I only toured solo and it's always so gratifying for me to perform that way again."

Specific details on Waxahatchee's third studio album are scarce, but it's expected more hints will drop as we get closer to the start of Crutchfield's tour (full schedule below).
