PC Users who were anticipating the unveiling of Microsoft’s Windows 8 can rejoice! The company finally released its new operating system, along with a new commercial that features indie rockers Best Coast showing off the system’s capabilities.

The 31-second clip shows the system in action by taking a clip from the group's New York City performance and using it to highlight some of the newer features and applications. In the spot, the band performs their song ‘The Only Place’ while the system is in use. Later on, the commercial switches to the band’s music video for the song. Clips the of band driving down a California highway and bassist Bobb Bruno diving into a swimming pool fully clothed were taken from the music video.

The commercial plays the chorus of ‘The Only Place,’ which is the first single off the band’s May release with the same name. Microsoft isn’t the first brand to feature Best Coast’s music in an advertisement. In 2011, their single ‘When I’m With You’ was featured in commercials for Payless and E4 Skins.

Best Coast will be touring the West Coast until the end of the month. The band then plans to take a few months off until their next tour with Green Day begins next year. You can check out all of their tour dates on their official website.
