Zola Jesus Releases ‘Go (Blank Sea)’ Video + Announces 2015 Tour Dates
Zola Jesus has been known for her dark, electrifying and anthemic sounds -- and her new music video for 'Go (Blank Sea)' conveys just that. Check it out above.
Directed by Mark Zemel, the black and white video takes fans to her show at Webster Hall in New York City. Aside from the live performance aspect of the video, we also catch a glimpse of her hanging around the venue, backstage before she goes on and walking around the streets of Lower Manhattan. We also get to see her tear up the stage and put a new meaning into headbanging.
“For the past five weeks, my band and I have been busy taking 'TAIGA' out on the road," Zola said in a statement. "We are officially initiated into the comprehensive world tour for this record. I am so proud of this tour; of my new band [including a live percussionist, trombonist, and resident noisemaker] and of the stage show I was able to conceive with the help of some great minds in lighting and stage production. I thought it was important to memorialize the show, so I have for you all a proper live video of 'Go (Blank Sea),' that was filmed at Webster Hall in New York City.”
Zola Jesus will be starting 2015 on the right foot with a slew of dates that will take her to both coasts and everywhere else in between. Find out when she'll be heading to a city near you below.
