Already on the road for an orchestra-backed spring sojourn -- one for which frontman Ben Gibbard had the jitters in prepping for -- inde rock stalwarts Death Cab for Cutie will continue their relentless touring through the summer season, including festival dates across the Midwest and up through the Northeast.

The Magik*Magik Orchestra tour will conclude in the band's hometown of Seattle, Wash., enabling the 'Such Great Heights' popmasters to get some well-deserved rest before continuing on to summertime gigs.

All this touring is on the heels of band's 2011 album, 'Codes and Keys,' whose single 'You Are a Tourist' blew up radios nationwide, reaching No.1 on Triple A and Modern Rock radio. Seems the American public has an insatiable appetite for bubblegum melancholia, and those gents from Seattle are just the songmen to provide all summer long.
