Watch Elizabeth Olsen Cover Rilo Kiley

Former Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis has her fingerprints all over the upcoming movie ‘Very Good Girls.’ Not only did she score the film (directed by Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s mom, Naomi Foner), actress Elizabeth Olsen also performs a song by Lewis’ old band.

In the movie, Olsen’s singer-songwriter character plays at an open-mic night where she covers Rilo Kiley’s ‘Go Ahead’ from their 2001 debut, ‘Take Offs and Landings.’ The film — which also stars Dakota Fanning, Demi Moore and Peter Sarsgaard — arrives in theaters Friday, but you can watch the clip above.

Meanwhile, Lewis is set to release her third solo album, ‘The Voyager,’ on July 29 via Warner Bros. Check out the video for the lead single, ‘Just One of the Guys’:
