Gotye Unveils New Round of 2012 Tour Dates

Those who missed Gotye on his first U.S. tour will have another opportunity to catch his live show later in 2012. The chart-topping singer has unveiled a new batch of North American tour dates that will keep him on U.S. soil from August through October.

Gotye posted the announcement on his website, where he wrote, “Many thanks to everyone in North America that came out to the shows we played in March and April. Me and the guys in the band and crew had such a good time, we thought we’d do it again! We’re very excited to come to a bunch of new places for the first time, and about seeing you lovelies in the cities we’ve visited before again.”

Though Gotye still has only one hit song to his credit, the seven-weeks-at-No. 1 ‘Somebody That I Used to Know,’ his venue size has been upgraded for the new trek, which takes him into amphitheaters and small pavilions across the U.S. and Canada.

The singer is doing his best to keep scalpers out of the picture by requiring fans to sign up for his email list or “like” his Facebook page in order to receive an email with a password for purchasing advance tickets when they go on sale on June 6. Buyers may purchase no more than 4 tickets in one transaction.
