While continuing to tour relentlessly in support of 2011's 'Strange Mercy,' Annie Erin Clark -- you can call her St. Vincent -- found the time to release a song for Record Store Day. The electro punk 'Krokodil' is maybe the harshest and heaviest we've heard from the Oklahoma-cum-New Yorker, who crowdsurfed while playing the new song at Coachella a couple weekends ago (find that fan footage and a clean listen of the new song below).

Actually, we take that back -- there was those amazingly fierce Big Black covers she turned in at the Our Band Could Be Your Life concert in New York last year. But outside of those, 'Krokodil' takes the normal level of energy we'd expect from a Vincent track and gives it a serious third-rail boost. Think of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs doing a stripped-down cover of a tune off her 'Actor' album and you're halfway there.

The track has a wall of distorted guitar, gigantic drums, and Clark's delicate voice made into a cyborg roar. Does that chorus go "I need to bite sweet crocodile?" Sure, Annie, just don't hurt us when we come to see you!
