Morrissey Plays ‘Jimmy Fallon’ [Watch]

Just give up, Smiths fans — “the band is “never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever going to reunite ever,” despite persistent comeback rumors, insists a spokesman for singer Morrissey. So basically, the next best thing is seeing Morrissey perform solo on things like his upcoming North American tour — or watching him make the rare appearance on national TV, as he did last night (Oct. 3) on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,’ where he turned in a cover of the Frankie Valli song ‘To Give (The Reason I Live),’ which you can watch above.

As an added bonus, Morrissey also served up his own 2006 solo cut ‘You Have Killed Me’ as an online-only ‘Fallon’ bonus performance, which you can check out below. We would also be remiss in our duty as music journalists if we didn’t mention the matching “THUG” T-shirts that all the members of his backing band wore for the performance, which we really, really, really, really want to get our hands on.
