What in the world would Nine Inch Nails do with corn starch before a concert — make some homemade gravy? The NIN backstage rider once specified “Two (2) Boxes of Corn Starch (VERY IMPORTANT!)” be provided at every show, which seems totally weird, unless you know that the band (expert fashion tip!) used to smother their leather outfits in the stuff before going onstage to create a grungy, post apocalyptic look. Still, couldn’t they BTOCS (Bring Their Own Corn Starch)?
