As they prep for the release of their brand-new studio album (set for release in March 2015), Priory are excited to unveil ‘Weekend,' a four-track EP that hits the streets tomorrow (Oct. 14). Because we're just too excited to wait 24 hours, we decided to team up with the talented duo to unleash 'Weekend' a day early; stream the new EP in its entirety in the player above.

Multi-instrumentalists Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears make up the instantly catchy sounds that emanate from 'Weekend'; it doesn't take long to find yourself singing along to the new songs. While hanging at Loudware Studios just outside of Portland, Sears says, “We didn’t have a backup plan, which is good because if we did, we’d more than likely have used it. We both had regular paying steady jobs. Now we’re here and it’s pretty fantastic.”

That attitude is precisely why Priory have quickly gained massive attention across the country. Not being handed any unfair advantages, Sears and Rush have made sacrifices and worked nonstop. The result was a debut EP and full-length.

But, that wasn’t enough.

“We felt like it was time to write more honest music,” Sears explains. “Everyday we would work from 9AM through the night, and if one of us was late, it would be up to the other to give him hell. You can find excuses all day long to not go in and create, but we were always pushing each other. Once we committed, it was as if a wall had been removed. We felt free and our songs seemed to blossom from there.”

The 'Weekend' EP is out tomorrow via Warner Bros. Records. Priory are on the road through the end of October, when they will perform at Las Vegas’ ‘Life Is Beautiful’ festival. Check out their full tour schedule here, and make sure to get details on all of the band's music via iTunes.
