Sharon Van Etten is one of those artists who can hook you without trying too hard, and she did just that when she stopped by 'The Late Show With David Letterman' last night.

Dressed in black, like the rest of her band, Van Etten performed 'Every Time the Sun Comes Up' off her latest album, 'Are We There.' Unlike the studio recording of the song, the version she performed on the show was a bit more laid-back and mellow.

Van Etten dropped by 'The Late Show' before she heads to Europe for a number of festivals, including Pukklepop in Belgium and Green Man in the U.K.
