Drumroll, please. The first two acts confirmed to appear at the famed "can't miss" multi-weekend festival known as Coachella next spring have been revealed. While it's not the headliners or any major acts, it's good news for EDM fans. German electronic artist Paul Kalkbrenner and dubstepper Kill the Noise are set to perform at the festival.

Goldenvoice, the promoters of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, are launching a music-themed cruise: the S.S. Coachella.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will not be changing locations after all. Last week, Goldenvoice, the festival's organizers, said they would leave the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. following the 2013 festival if a new tax initiative was passed. However, the city councilman who proposed the tax has withdrawn the proposition in response to Goldenvoice's threats.

Since its inception in 1999, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. However, legislation is underway that could threaten the festival's future at the site after 2013.

With or without the Coachella 2013 lineup announced, presale tickets for the 2013 edition of the festival are on sale already, and there's plenty of reasons to buy now -- including lower prices and the availability of a seven-month payment plan. On the other hand, fans getting tickets so far in advance have no idea what bands will be playing the desert gathering next year. Although organizers have yet to assemble a bad bill, it's still a bit of a gamble.

Coachella 2013 dates have been announced, even though it's barely been a month since the sun set on this year's edition of the annual desert gathering in Indio, Calif. Once again, it will take place over two consecutive weekends: April 12-14, 2013 and April 19-21, 2013.
