Since their time in the studio with Justin Vernon a couple of years ago, the Staves have finally released a new single from their upcoming album, 'If I Was.'

Entitled 'Steady,' the mid-tempo ballad takes their normally acoustic folk sound to another level thanks to the help of the Bon Iver frontman, who produced the LP. Starting with light guitar chords, the listener is immediately taken by the Staveley-Taylor sisters' seamless and fluid vocal harmonies. Setting up shop at April Base studios outside Eau Claire, Wis., the British trio bring a tenderness to their music that is a nice contrast to the numerous sonic layers added to the track:

"And the line will read that I was never hear / Can you see from where you're standing / And the line will read that I was never hear / Can you hear where I'm coming from," they sing in the bridge.

'Steady' is off the Staves' upcoming release, 'If I Was,' set for release in the U.K. on March 23. You can pre-order the vinyl here.
