‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Plays ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?’

It’s been a great two weeks for “Weird Al” Yankovic. The day before his latest album, ‘Mandatory Fun,’ came out on July 15, he started releasing a new music video each day, which he kept up for eight days straight. Each and every video went viral. To top it all off, he scored his first No. 1 album.

With all the “Weird Al” buzz, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to recap his storied career with a look into the history books – or, since we don’t have any history books handy, Wikipedia. “Weird Al” came over, we pulled out the highlights from his Wikipedia page and then read them back to him – giving him the chance to set the record straight.

Did Prince’s lawyers really send him a telegram demanding that he not make eye contact with the Purple One during an awards show? Is ‘Mandatory Fun’ really going to be the final “Weird Al” album? Did Chamillionaire really bow down to his rap skills? He dispels the myths and gives us a glimpse behind the curls in the exclusive video above.

Yankovic also helped count down the 5 Worst Video Game Translations for our pals at Arcade Sushi and their 5×5 video series. Check it out:

He also talked about Kurt Cobain and his Nirvana parody in an interview with Loudwire. Busy guy. Check out what he had to say:
