Watch Alt-J Cover Disclosure’s ‘Latch’ for BBC Radio 1

Alt-J probably wouldn't last all that long as a cover band because no matter what they play, it always mostly sounds like Alt-J.

That's pretty evident with the trio's performance of 'Latch' by British electronica duo Disclosure, which the lads covered for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge (video above).

While the original song -- which features vocals by Sam Smith -- shares some of the same glitchy techno sensibilities as Alt-J's version, the cover is transformed largely thanks to a minimalistic approach and the distinct voice of frontman Joe Newman.
