Dresden Dolls singer Amanda Palmer made headlines when she raised over $1 million on Kickstarter to fund her new solo album. Backed by 24,883 fans and their wallets, Palmer headed to Melbourne, Australia to record the new disc and shoot the video for the first single, 'Want It Back.' Scroll down below to watch the NSFW clip.

'Want It Back' starts off with Palmer laying nude in bed. Lyrics from the song begin to form all over her body, which then proceeds to go on the sheets, walls, an iPad, a few other people and the city, and finally returns to Palmer. Much of the video is displayed in stop-motion style cinematography, painstakingly created by Australian director Jim Batt.

Batt explains: "Hand crafting a film frame-by-frame is always an intense experience, even more so when you're using someone's body as a canvas, but there's something magical about stopmotion that you can't capture any other way. I'm still impressed that we managed to get Amanda to sit still for that long, she was a champion!"

Palmer is no stranger to being nude on video and feels secure in her own skin. “I'm so comfortable being naked at this point that I almost forget … I'm also proud that that video has nudity, but it isn’t sexual or erotic ... it's using the body as a raw canvas, which I love.”

Palmer plans to release her album 'Theatre of Evil' on Sept. 11 through her own label, 8ft. Records. She will also hit the road with her band, the Grand Theft Orchestra, for a world tour starting this fall. See all the dates below.
