Summer days may be numbered, but Claude Coleman, Jr., who records as Amandla, has no intention of letting that slow him down in his new song 'Summer Road.'

Coleman -- who's played drums for Ween for 20 years -- sings about getting in a car and driving through the open road. 'Summer Road' is all about a road adventure, one that doesn't have a care in the world. Coleman casually, and fittingly, floats on top of it all.

You can listen to the song -- an exclusive premiere -- here:

"Strumming by the water in the shimmery light / Twisted to the north, there's a world to the side / Out to the cape, where the seas collide / And it's Christmas Day in the summer / And it feels just fine," Coleman sings over a sunny pop melody.

Coleman plays each and every instrument on 'Summer Road.' In addition to playing drums for Ween, he's gigged with Eagles of Death Metal, Chocolate Genius and others over the years. The multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer and engineer is pretty much Amandla in the studio. When he performs live, he focuses on guitar and singing.

'Summer Road' comes from Amandla's upcoming third album, 'Laughing Hearts,' which will be released later this year.
