Bad Religion frontman Greg Graffin is one well-rounded guy: He has a Ph.D in Zoology from Cornell, and it was announced today (Aug. 6) that he will soon release a new book, titled Population Wars, which follows 2010's Anarchy Evolution, which examined the relationship between religion and evolution.

A press release says of Population Wars:

With "Population Wars," Graffin distills issues of ecology, population management, natural history, and human nature, all the while challenging certain aspects of evolutionary theory that converge on ideology and promote conventional human warfare. Many of these concepts have been touched on in his songwriting over the last 30 years, but with "Population Wars", they are given an entirely captivating academic treatment.

The book is currently available for pre-order here, which also includes "a limited edition 7" EP of specially re-recorded Graffin songs that helped inspire the book." Graffin will host a series of book release events in late September, so check out the itinerary below:
