Blink-182’s ‘Brohemian Rhapsody’ Video Stars Mumford and Sons Pretending to Be Blink-182

Mumford and Sons may never shed their reputation as humorless folkies, but it certainly won't be for a lack of trying. They can currently be seen in the video for "Brohemian Rhapsody," a new song by a band that are pretty much their polar opposites, Blink-182.

The 40-second clip, which is embedded above, looks like any Blink-182 video, with lots of quick cuts and horsing around. Except it's Mumford and Sons acting like the Southern California punks in a tent that's serving as Blink 182's dressing room at the festival they're both playing. After the short song ends, Blink 182 enter and bassist Mark Hoppus not-so-politely inquires what is going on.

Despite the sonic differences, this isn't the first time the two acts have teamed up. Last year, Hoppus joined Mumford and Sons onstage for a cover of the Eurythmics New Wave classic, "Sweet Dreams." A few days later, they, along with Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Prophets of Rage, played Blink-182's "What's My Age Again?" during a private show in Los Angeles.

"Brohemian Rhapsody" is the closing track on Blink-182's recently released California. It's their first effort without founding guitarist-singer Tom DeLonge, who parted ways with the band last year. The band recruited Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio to replace him. Blink-182 are currently winding up a few dates in Canada, and they begin a full-scale North American tour in their hometown of San Diego, Calif., on July 21, which wraps up on Oct. 1 in Los Angeles.
