It's been clear for awhile now that Chance the Rapper has had some sort of relationship with Kanye West, especially with West giving Chance a shoutout at Ottawa Bluesfest earlier this month, claiming that the two were collaborating on something. Chance's charged reaction to Yeezy's shoutout was captured below:

Now, in an interview with The Guardian, Chance has revealed another collaboration with Kanye that didn't exactly work out: the near possibility of Kanye narrating Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment's latest album, Surf.

Chance told the paper, “Yeah, he was going to narrate it at one point ... In the final weeks of getting ready to put it out we had vocal chops that we were using from ’Ye talking about some of the themes of the project. Through just thinking about it, it didn’t end up happening that way. Not to say it wouldn’t have been dope as s---!” He also said that he once wished Kanye could be his Dad.
