The debut album from Christopher the Conquered (the stage name for Christopher Ford) is the subject of heightened anticipation after Ryan Adams gave the Iowa-bred singer-songwriter a stamp of approval via social media. While that album, dubbed I’m Giving Up on Rock & Roll, isn’t due out until spring 2016, Ford will soon deliver an EP to tide fans over.

The I’m Not That Famous Yet EP offers a preview of what’s to come on Ford’s full-length debut. It boasts two tracks from I’m Giving Up plus two exclusives. Lead track “What’s the Name of the Town?” counts itself among the former group and has already received a music video, which you can watch at the top of the page.

I’m Not That Famous Yet is out Jan. 29 via Maximum Ames Records; pre-order it now at iTunes. If you purchase the EP through the Maximum Ames website, you’ll also receive a live recording of the singer’s recent gig opening for Leon Russell. Take a look at the EP’s track list and cover art below.

Ford has a pair of shows in Omaha, Neb., before the year’s out. Then he’ll spend the first part of 2016 in Germany and Italy. See his complete tour itinerary right here.
