Durham, N.C.-based rockers Delta Rae will follow up their 2012 debut, ‘Carry the Fire,’ with their second LP, ‘After It All,’ in April. While the album will still carry Delta Rae’s signature indie-folk sound, the six-piece outfit say they had a specific concept in mind when creating ‘After It All.’

“Our goals for the record were to make something cinematic, romantic and American,” Delta Rae’s Eric Holljes said in a press release.

While it began with an outside narrative in mind, the bandmates said they kept returning to a more confessional-oriented approach.

“We kept coming back to ourselves as we were writing,” singer Brittany Holljes added. “These songs were integral to our own stories in our own lives. It had to be an honest reflection of what we were feeling instead of being projected onto characters we created.”

‘After It All’ lands April 7 on Sire/Warner Bros. Records. Ahead of its release, Delta Rae will kick off a tour in support of the 13-track album on Feb. 7 in Texas. Check out a full list of stops below; tickets go on sale Jan. 16:
