Depeche Mode held a press conference this morning (Oct. 23) in Paris to confirm details regarding their forthcoming new album, which is expected to drop next spring. The Mode opened the event by playing an in-studio video featuring a song that's expected to be included on the album. It's tentatively titled 'Angel of Love,' and you can check it out below.

Depeche Mode also confirmed a 34-date European tour, which was announced yesterday. The trek -- which kicks off May 7, 2013, in Tel Aviv, Israel, and runs through to a July 29 gig in Minsk, Belarus -- is expected to be followed or preceded by a North American arena trek, although no details of that leg were announced during the press conference.

'Angel of Love,' meanwhile, sounds a bit like an industrial-edged version of a Nick Cave song, with raspy vocals and a gosepl-tinged vibe going on. In other words, it pretty much fits in with most Depeche Mode songs released in the last decade. Depeche Mode sound like Depeche Mode? Go figure! What do you think of the new tune?
