Eddie Vedder, Tom Morello + More Are Getting Their Own Baseball Cards, Too
It looks like Jack White isn't the only rock star who's getting his own baseball card this year.
As Beckett Media -- the ultimate resource for card collectors -- unveiled this week, there will be 15 'First Pitch Insert' cards in the 2015 Topps Series 1 set. In addition to White, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello will grace the Topps set, along with a number of other baseball fans:
2015 Topps 'First Pitch Insert' Cards
FP-01 Jeff Bridges -- Los Angeles Dodgers
FP-02 Jack White -- Detroit Tigers
FP-03 McKayla Maroney -- Chicago White Sox
FP-04 Eddie Vedder -- Chicago Cubs
FP-05 Biz Markie -- Oakland Athletics
FP-06 Agnes McKee -- San Diego Padres
FP-07 Austin Mahone -- Atlanta Braves
FP-08 Jermaine Jones --Los Angeles Dodgers
FP-09 Tom Willis -- Baltimore Orioles
FP-10 Graham Elliot -- Chicago Cubs
FP-11 Tom Morello -- Chicago Cubs
FP-12 Macklemore -- Seattle Mariners
FP-13 Suzy -- Los Angeles Dodgers
FP-14 50 Cent -- New York Mets
FP-15 Meb Keflezighi -- Boston Red Sox
They're not all rockers; for example, as Beckett points out, Agnes McKee is a 105-year-old baseball fan, Tom Willis is a man who threw out the "first pitch at a game despite being born without arms," McKayla Maroney is an Olympic gymnast, and Bae Suzy is a 20-year-old singer and actress from Korea.
Morello threw out his first pitch on June 20, 2014 at the Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates game at Wrigley Field. As for Vedder, he tossed the ball at another Cubs game a few weeks later, on July 24 when they took on the San Diego Padres.
If you've already tried finding the cards, you might want to slow down a bit; the 2015 Topps Series 1 set won't hit shelves until Feb. 6.
