AmFam has partnered with 8tracks, purveyors of personalized Internet radio, to bring you a series of awesome playlists, each tailored to a specific region. First up is 'Eugene's Dream of the '90s,' a collection of songs inspired by the Pacific Northwest. As you blast these eight tracks, you may say to yourself, "Hey, these songs are great, but they're not all from the '90s." Well, that's true, but as they say on 'Portlandia,' Oregon is a magical place where the promise of that decade still lives, and that's the spirit driving this collection.

Among the artists you'll hear are Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Sleater-Kinney, the Dandy Warhols and Elliot Smith -- all of whom were active in the '90s, if you want to get all technical about it. But again, it doesn't matter when, exactly, these songs were recorded. The '90s were about angst, idealism, flannel and of course, guitars, and that's what you've got here. Pull on your knit cap, grab a giant latte and relive the glory.
